Bruce E Jackson

Bruce E. Jackson, 59, of Lake City, Florida passed away on May 24, 2017. Towards the end of his time here on earth, Jackson was moved into Joanne’s House, in Bonita Springs, where he was in the loving hands of hospice care. He was originally born in Hanover, New Hampshire.

After his mother, Gloria Jackson, passed away, Bruce’s aunt and uncle (Gloria’s brother) stepped in to raise Bruce as their own. Twenty three years ago, Bruce decided to make the move down south and has lived in Florida ever since. He was successful in the construction business, and contributed to his community by installing dry wall for a living.

Jackson proudly devoted his life to protecting his country as a member of the United States Army. We will always be thankful for the sacrifices he made during his courageous service.

Bruce had a few favorite pass-times - he was privileged enough to be genuinely happy in his career field so he enjoyed working, he had a passion for fishing and being out on the water and last but certainly not least, he had a true love for women! Bruce truly cherished his family and all the amazing memories he was lucky enough to make with them.

He is survived by three sons – Christopher (Meagan) Jackson, Daniel Jackson and Brian Jackson; one brother – William (Sue) Jackson; one sister – Wanda Rowe; grandchildren – Cohen Jackson, Benjamin Jackson, Cheyenne Jackson and Ryan Jackson; and nieces & nephews – Vanessa, Julia and last but certainly not least, Alexandria. He is preceded in death by his mother.
