Allan David Zalud

Allan David Zalud, 79, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away on December 18, 2022. He was born in Chicago, IL on October 8, 1943 to Allan and Dorothy Zalud. Allan attended Edgerton High School.

He was drafted into the Army and served in Vietnam under the 173rd Airborne Brigade from 1967-1968. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Air Medal, and Army Commendation.

After his service, he returned to Chicago and married Mary Hemenway in 1971.

Allan moved to Fort Myers in 1985. He continued his work as a truck driver until his retirement in 2014.

Allan is survived by his wife Mary, five children; Kristy Zalud, Domini Zalud, Angela (Fred) Janke, Amanda (Aaron) Johnson, and Andrew Zalud all of Fort Myers, one sister Dawn Zalud of Illinois, 9 grandchildren; Kaley, Tommy, Emily, Tim, Michael, Nick, Annabelle, Owen, and Miles, 3 Great Grandchildren; Jaxton, Lukas, and Rowan.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at a later time.
