Bernard John Fitzsimmons

Bernard John Fitzsimmons, 86, of Fort Myers, Florida peacefully passed away on May 31, 2017. Bernard is the son of Blanche B. and James Fitzsimmons. He was originally born in Rutland, Vermont on May 24, 1931.
He proudly contributed his time and his efforts to protecting his community by being employed by law enforcement as a police officer. Before his work in public safety, Bernard bravely enlisted in the United States Army. He dedicated his life to serving and protecting not only his community, but his entire country. We will never what an honorable, ambitious and courageous man that he was.
He will always be remembered as a loving son, a devoted companion, a proud veteran, and a beloved member of his family. Bernard will truly be missed by all those who had been privileged enough to get to know him.
