Deborah Ann (Carr) Wilson, 66, died peacefully May 11, 2016
surrounded by her family and friends at Hope Hospice, Fort Myers
after a courageous battle with leukemia. Deborah was born on
June 1, 1949, in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Robert and Thelma Carr.
After graduating from Wylie E. Groves High School in 1967,
Deborah worked at Berry Door (now Stanley Door) where she
met and later married (1970) John Wilson. Deborah and her
family moved to Fort Myers in 1981 where she worked as an
Administrator over the past thirty four years for several
businesses including Retina Consultants; Markham, Norton,
Mosteller, Wright & Co. CPA; Naples Pathology Associates; and
Associates in Nephrology. She was a member of the Fort Myers
Junior League including Chairperson of Taste of the Town in 2004.
She also established and was a founding member of Dames
Kneading Dough investment group.
Deborah, a devoted mother and grandmother, was gregarious and
fun-loving, and wished that all remember her with laughter and
not tears. Her contagious laughter touched many hearts.
Deborah is survived by her devoted daughter, Amy (Kevin) Ellis
and grandtwins, John and Bobby Ellis, age two, the loves of her
life. She is also survived by her best friends Ellen Kiddy, Kathie
Lilley, Gail Danis, Karen Mosteller and Kathy Pachota as well as so
many other friends and family who held a special place in her
heart. Deborah is also survived by her sister Carol Stavropoulos
in Greece. She is preceded in death by her parents and ex-
husband, John Wilson.
Celebration of Life will be held at the Chapel at Hope Hospice
(9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908) on Sunday, May
22 at 2PM. Arrangements have been made through Gallagher
American Family Funeral Home
