Dennis L. Cowley, Past Worshipful Master and 12 yr Secretary of Cypress Lodge No. 295 Free and Accepted Masons, passed away on March 27, 2026, at the age of 66.

Born on August 15, 1959, in Muncie, Indiana, Dennis was the son of Loyd Cowley and Ruth Ann Sours. He lived a life defined by service, leadership, and unwavering integrity. Dennis graduated from Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda, Florida and later The University of Maryland, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management.

Dennis proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps for over twenty years, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer. During his distinguished military career, he served as a logistics officer and leader, responsible for coordinating complex operations and guiding personnel in high-pressure environments with discipline and precision.

Following his military service, Dennis continued to lead and serve in the private sector. He worked in management and operations roles before becoming a Project Manager with Cornerstone Builders of Southwest Florida, where he oversaw construction projects from inception to completion, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike for his professionalism and dedication.

A devoted Freemason, Dennis was a respected and beloved Brother of Cypress Lodge No. 295. As Past Worshipful Master, he exemplified the principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. His commitment to the Craft and to his Brethren was steadfast, and his influence within the Lodge will endure for generations.

Dennis married Debbie Cowley on April 26, 2003. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother whose greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his wife Debbie; his daughters Emily Cowley-Hunter (fiancé, Jonathan) of Aledo, Texas, Rachael Maneri (husband, Joe) of Cape Coral, Florida, and Jennifer Howard (husband, Chaz) of Fort Myers, Florida; his sister Diana Day (husband, Dillis) of Port Charlotte, Florida; and his cherished grandchildren—Nevaeh, Annabella, Savannah, Bodhi, Cheyanne, Barrett, and J.J.

He was preceded in death by his father, Loyd Cowley; his mother, Ruth Ann Sours; and his brother, Donald Cowley.

A Celebration of Life, Masonic Rites, and Military Honors will be held at Cypress Lodge No. 295 in Naples, Florida (5850 Trail Boulevard), on April 25th at 1:00 p.m.
