Edward Allen Long

Edward Allen Long, age 86, of Estero, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on March 27, 2026. He was born on September 12, 1939, in Ohio.

Edward lived a full and accomplished life marked by dedication to his work, devotion to his family, and enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures. He graduated from Damascus High School in Ohio and went on to attend Bowling Green State University.

Edward worked as a UPS corporate industrial engineer, a career that reflected his intelligence, skill, and strong work ethic. Outside of work, he found joy in golfing, reading, and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his two sisters and one brother.

Edward is lovingly survived by his wife, Joan Long; his sons, Bradley Long and wife Kathleen, and Scott Long and wife Barbara; his daughters, Cheri Lee and husband Patrick Lee, and Beth Long; his stepdaughter, Victoria Hunt and husband Stephen Hunt; and his brother, Mike Long.

A private family celebration of life gathering will be held on April 7th at West Bay Country Club, with Eric Hausler officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Gallaher American Family Funeral Home.
