Eleanor L. Nordstrom of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Peoria, Illinois, passed away on January 11, 2018.  Eleanor was born on January 26, 1921 to Frank and Mary (nee Kuszynski) Szumnarski in Chicago, Illinois.

She met her husband, Gustave B. Eleanor was predeceased by her adored husband, Gus.

Eleanor is survived by her three children, John F. Nordstrom of Clive, Iowa, Richard G Nordstrom (Peggy) of Peoria, Illinois and Mary E. Neilson (nee Nordstrom)(Bill) of Cape Coral, Florida; eight grand-children, and twelve great-children.

Eleanor will be remembered for her pure heart, unending love and support to her family and gorgeous smile.  She joins Gus in heaven.

Eleanor left a poem:

No person is ever truly alone.

Those who live no more,

Whom we loved,

Echo still within our thoughts,

Our words, our hearts.

And what they did

And what they were

Becomes a part of all that we are,

Forever.

- Richard Fife
