Frank Albert La Fragola Sr., 71, of Cape Coral, FL, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2017 at his home in Cape Coral. Born in Nutely, NJ to Albert and Louisa La Fragola, he lived most of his life in New Jersey.

Frank served in the Marine Corps from 1964-1968. He received the Presidential Unit Citation to the Third Marine Division (Reinforced) for his extraordinary heroism and outstanding performance of duty in action against the North Vietnamese Army and Viet Cong forces in the Republic of Vietnam from March 8, 1965 to September 15, 1967. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal.

Frank was a passionate musician and avid sax player. He enjoyed playing free poker at local events and meeting new people. His love for classic cars along with his 68 Chevy Impala helped him make many great friends.

Frank was extremely loving and is survived by his three sons Frank La Fragola Jr. and his wife Kristine, Anthony La Fragola and Rocco La Fragola. He is also survived by his sister Johanna Reys, her daughter Lisa Hare and son Sal Corso; as well as his loving grand children, nephews, nieces and friends.

Funeral service will be held for all on Sunday November 12, 2017 between the hours of 12pm and 2pm at the Gallaher American Family Funeral Home located at 2701 Cleveland Ave, Fort Myers, FL. Military burial service will be Monday November 13, 2017 at the Sarasota National Cemetery.
