Guy Robert Slifko

Guy Robert Slifko, 61, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away on April 6th, 2024 after a 10 year battle with cancer. Guy was born in Dover, New Jersey to Robert and June Slifko. During his high school years, he worked at Woodlock Pines in Hawley, Pennsylvania. At age 18, he moved to Fort Myers, Florida, where he worked in the Recreations Department at the Cape Coral Yacht Club. Guy was a well sought after taxidermist in Pennsylvania for many years. In 1996, he became the plant manager of Canterbury School, where he worked for 21 years.

Guy’s hobbies included fishing, hunting, cooking, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys, and supporting his family in any way possible. Guy will be remembered for his keen sense of direction in any environment presented to him. He knew the in’s & outs of Canterbury School like the back of his hand. He also could navigate the waters during boat outings like an expert.  Guy’s family will miss his ability to make everything fun, his honest life advice during tough times, and the love he graciously poured out for everyone.

Guy is survived by his significant other, Rhonda Brubaker, additional survivors include one daughter, Carly Slifko, one son, Shane Slifko, one grandson Tyler, and his brother, Gary Slifko.

He was preceded in death by his parents, June and Robert Slifko. As well as his brother, Glen Slifko.

A celebration of life shall be held at a future date, to be announced.
