Jason Douglas Seely The sweetest, kindest soul you could ever meet has left this world and gone to his heavenly home. Jason Douglas Seely, 48 of Ft. Myers, FL died suddenly and peacefully on September 24, 2021. He leaves behind many dearly loved family and friends, and will be missed by all. Anyone who knew Jason, loved him and knew he was special. He Loved his family, his friends and brought a generous spirit of joy wherever he went. He could often be heard whistling a happy tune or singing as he went about his daily work. He loved helping others and would do anything for anyone. Jason was OSU Buckeye and Chicago Bears fan. He was also an excellent Jeopardy competitor and would usually beat us all. He loved the outdoors; fishing, hunting, his dogs and music- especially the Grateful Dead. He found so much joy in children and the feeling was mutual. His nieces and nephews adored him. He was a devoted son and brother. Jason was a hard worker and took pride in his position as assistant manager at the Ft. Myers Beach Kiwanis Thrift Store, where he was surrounded by a team of supportive co-workers and volunteers. The Kiwanis motto is “Serving the children of the world” and their main principal is following the Golden Rule. This was a perfect fit for Jason. He was a gift, and will be missed forever. He let his light shine. Jason is survived by his father, Michael Seely and stepmother, Lesa, his mother, Colleen Hazelbaker and stepfather, Jon, his brother and best friend, Sean Seely, stepbrother, Joseph Hazelbaker, his wife, Laura and their children, Annie, Murphy, Sophia and Noelle, stepsister, Mindy Dixon, her husband, Derick and their children Mina and Lilliana, grandparents Lois Ewing, Ralph and Billie Hazelbaker, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
