Jerry Wenger

Jerry Wenger Sr. was born to Orlando and Helen Wenger on January 20th 1932 in Peoria, Illinois.

He attended Peoria Central High School and went on to serve in the Navy from 1951 to 1955. He served stateside and aboard the USS Oriskany during the Korean War.

He was the father of 3 sons with his former wife Beverly Flanagan. She survives with her 3 sons Brad (June) and 4 grandchildren (Joe Wenger, Melissa Bouassaba and Nicole Thomann, Yunkai Zhou), Jerry Jr. (Sharon) and 4 granddaughters (Christina Faulkner (Chad), Michelle (Remas) Chatkevicius, Cali Wenger and Kitra Wenger), and Steve (Mickie) and 1 grandson Scott Wenger.

He lived most of his life in Peoria, was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church and enjoyed playing league volleyball and other sports. After retiring from Caterpillar Tractor, he moved to Florida where he enjoyed the beaches and tennis.
