John C. Beggs

John Charles Beggs, 59, of Fort Myers, FL passed away at Hope Hospice on December 12, 2017 with his loving wife, Carol Beggs, at his side.

John was born in Chicago, IL on May 21, 1958, the son of James & Delores (Berg) Beggs.

John worked for the Lee County School District at Alva Middle School as a cook and cafeteria helper and then moving to the District office as a Support Specialist in the imaging department.

In his leisure time, he enjoyed cooking, baking and loved trying out new recipes.  He also like playing poker on his computer and meeting new people.

Surviving are his wife, Carol A. Beggs (Harris), Fort Myers, son, Michael Beggs, Chicago, IL; Brothers: Robert Beggs of Joliet, IL and Frank (Mary) Beggs, Minooka, IL. Sister: Maureen (Steve) Beach, Bluffton, SC: Nieces: Cristen (Scott) Austgen, Oswego, IL; Brandy, Brittany, Adrianna, & Nicole. Nephews: Derrick Beggs, Joliet, IL; Adam and Nick. Great nephews: Darren, Avery, Clayton, Mason.

John was preceded in death by his parents, James & Delores (Berg) Beggs.

Memorial service will be held at 10am, Tuesday, January 6, 2018 at Broadway Community Church located at 3309 Broadway, Fort Myers, FL 33901.
