Melvin "Skip" Scurry

A TIME TO BE BORN:

Melvin “Skip” Scurry Sr. was born on July 22, 1954 in Fort Myers, FL. to the late Ruth Mae and Solomon Scurry.  Melvin was a true sports fan and played varsity basketball for Cypress Lake High School where he graduated from in 1973.  Melvin then began his career at his first and only job at Dean Steel for nearly 45 years.

A TIME TO EVERY PURPOSE UNDER HEAVEN:

Skip was always the life of the party, there was a never dull moment. He had a special gift for making everyone smile. On Sunday October 21, 2018 he went home to be with the Lord. Preceded in death by his siblings  Albert Scurry Sr., Lorraine Edison, Lois Ross and Annie Epps, also his Granddaughter Brianna Leshae Addison

SURVIVORS:

Skip leaves to cherish his memories his wife Elaine of 20 years and his children: Melvin (Natasha), Walter (Sentanar) Clark, Craig Collins, Terrence Herring, Yolanda Gilchrist, Shawana Hall and Michelle Herring. His siblings: Solomon (Tisha) Scurry Jr,  Mary (Willie} Ward and Deborah Scurry. Sixteen Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews,cousins and many sorrowing friends.
