Michael Todd Yost

We bid a heartfelt farewell to Michael Todd Yost, born on October 10, 1966, in Hebron, Indiana. Mike, as he was lovingly known, was a cherished father, son, brother, uncle and friend who left this world on September 19, 2024, in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. Mike’s legacy is one of love, warmth, and kindness. He walked through life with a gentle strength, touching the hearts of everyone he met with his unforgettable grace. A lover of storytelling, magic, and sports, Mike found beauty in life’s simple moments and inspired us all to do the same. If the measure of a man is how many lives he touched, then Mike stood ten feet tall. Preceded in death by his father, Larry Yost, in Hebron, IN, Mike is survived by his loving mother, Imo (Keller) Yost, his devoted brother, Duane, and his beloved son, Carlton and several Aunts and Cousins. A memorial gathering to celebrate Mike’s life will be held at DiamondHead Beach Resort on Fort Myers Beach on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 5 pm. In honor of Mike’s passion for his career, a pub crawl will follow, starting from DiamondHead and tracing Mike’s favorite tour path, ending at The Lighthouse Tiki in FMB. Donations can also be made to the Fort Myers Beach Historical Society, of which Mike was a proud member. He was also a member of the FMB Moose Lodge and the SWFL Magician’s Association.
