Nancy Kay Srodes Olson

Nancy Kay Srodes Olson, age 80, a 20 year resident of Fort Myers, FL went to be with her Lord & Savior on Saturday February 6, 2016. She was born on February 6, 2016. She was born on Feb. 2nd, 1936, the daughter of Kenneth and Dorothy Srodes.

Nancy lived her life to the fullest with a great sense of humor, never meeting a stranger, giving words of encouragement filled with love and prayers and hope to her many daughters, family and friends.

Nancy had a zest for life, earning her nickname "Sparky" to those who knew her best. She enjoyed politics, traveling, camping, and being with those she love, especially her great grand children.

Prior to her 1990 retirement, she was a CFO for Sterns Inc. in San Jose, CA; CFO for Timmons Advertising, an accountant and labor organizer for Nurses Union and Youth Policy and Law Center, Big Brothers & Big Sisters organizations, with many political affiliations in Madison, Wisconsin.

Nancy is survived by her daughters Pamela Olson (Victor Kunicki), Sandra Castillo (Mike Castillo) and Brenda Aloff; Grandchildren Chad Ege, Abby Palmer; Great Grand Children Christian, Jaxson and Amanda Evie whom she loved and adored. She was their GG. Brothers Paul Srodes, Edward Srodes and sister Janice Ward and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Allan, her soulmate; her beloved daughter Patti (Patrice) Olson, forever friend Thomas M. Olson, brother David Srodes, parents Kenneth and Dorothy Srodes, her sisters in life and Christ Bonnie Roden Shmidt, Bonnie Timmons and Sandy Coors.

Family invites you to celebrate her life and share your stories with us. A memorial gathering will take place at Gallaher American Family Funeral Home 2701 Cleveland Avenue, Fort Myers, FL 33901 (239-337-7311) on Monday February 15, 2016 at 1:30pm with a service commencing at 3pm.
