Polly E Basista

Polly E. Basista (née Eldridge) passed away at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers, FL on April 15th 2023, aged 71. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Michael, son Mark, daughter-in-law Andrea, niece Julie (daughter Kathleen), and nephew Michael (daughters Maggie and Maegen and son Mark). She is preceded by her sister Nan (husband Judson) and nieces Lisa and Diane. She received her undergraduate education at Furman University in Greenville, SC and her dental degree from Emory University in Atlanta, GA before moving with her soon-to-be husband to Fort Myers in 1978 to begin their practice. She served the Fort Myers community alongside her husband in Fort Myers for almost 40 years before retiring in 2017. She was an avid reader and active member of Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church, where she faithfully served for many years on the Altar Guild. She will be reverently remembered and missed by everyone who knew her.
