Richard (Richie) M. Hanlon, died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 29 at his home in Fort Myers, Florida at the age of 66.
Richie is survived by his three sons; Richard (Jacquie) Hanlon, Jr.; Timothy (Melissa) Hanlon; Brian (Kathleen) Hanlon; and a daughter Kathleen Hanlon and 10 grandchildren. He is also survived by his 2 sisters; Patty (Dick) Rommel and Carole (Tony) Ficarra and their children. He is preceded in death by his parents Martin and Rose Hanlon.
Richie was born on August 5, 1950 in Syracuse, NY. He grew up on the west side of Syracuse & graduated from Corcoran High School. He was employed for over 30 years by Niagara Mohawk. Following retirement he moved to Fort Myers, Florida where he worked part time at Publix Grocery Store, enjoyed playing golf and loved the beach.
Memorial Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, August 25 at Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Drive, Syracuse, NY. Immediately following the service friends are welcome to join the family at the Blarney Stone to celebrate Richie’s life.
