Mr. Robert “Bobby” Allen Del Tufo passed away on Aug 22 in Cape Coral, Florida, 2020 shortly after being diagnosed with cancer. He was born on August 10, 1944, in Newark, New Jersey to parents Angelo and Edith Del Tufo. He is survived by his loving wife Celine, his son Robert Del Tufo, Jr., and his daughter Denise Hendershot and was survived briefly by his stepdaughter Adrienne Knapp who has since passed away. Bob is also survived by his sister Judith and her husband Mickey Manicone, and Bob’s grandchildren Alana Gamez, Autumn Jordan, Ariyaa Jordan, Robert Del Tufo III, Kaitlyn Del Tufo, Craig Wicks Jr., and Steven Wicks. Also, Bob is survived by his nephew Michael Manicone, his wife Kim and their daughters Jaqueline and Nicole and Bob’s niece Sandy Vanderstead, her husband John and their son Brian. The time that Bob spent with his family in the months before his death brought him great joy and happiness.
Bob pursued several careers in his lifetime including but not limited to policeman, chef, and opening and managing several restaurants. It seemed like there was nothing he couldn’t do. He was inspired, improving his life and the lives of those around him one project at a time.
Surrounding himself with friends and family, Bob designed and built a beautiful area in his home to entertain. He drew on his restaurant experience to host dinners and parties, sending every guest home with a care package full of love. He would always tell his friends, “I’m Bob. Mr. Del Tufo was my father.” With Bob as a friend, no one ever spent the holidays alone. And, if Bob were with us, he would throw his best party ever to celebrate the time that we had together.
A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew Church at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, December 12, and a celebration of life afterward at our home at 1905 SW 27th Terrace Cape Coral, FL
