Robert "Bob" William Schroeder

Robert William Schroeder, 78, of Estero, Florida passed away on July 27, 2025. He was born on January 18, 1947 to Francis and Raymond Schroeder.

Robert grew up in a house that was situated next to the train tracks...this is where his passion for trains began. It was a lifelong enthusiasm and he was an avid model train collector.

Robert was in the US Army and served in the Military Police. He was a career United States Postal Service Executive and retired with 38 years of service.

Robert loved coffee any time of the day. He enjoyed learning about and drinking wine, fine dining and eating at restaurants. His favorite sport was Ohio State Football.

Family holidays were a special time and Bob enjoyed playing games with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren....he loved a good game of Risk and in more recent times they played Phase Ten.

Robert was married to Patricia N. Schroeder for 44 years. They spent their leisure time traveling the United States and taking cruises all over the world with family and friends.

Robert has 8 daughters, 6 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at Saint Michael's Lutheran Church 3595 Broadway, Fort Myers Florida 33901 on Saturday August 30, 2025 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The Railroad Museum of South Florida at rrmsf.org.
