Ruth Meyer Watts

Ruth was a person who loved deeply and lived fully. She laughed loudly, gave generously, and made everyone around her feel special.

She passed away unexpectedly on February 13, 2026, after a brief illness.

She had a huge heart and was always giving to others. Family meant everything to her. She was loyal, protective, and proud of the people she loved. Ruth had a strength that made others feel safe and a kindness that made them feel understood.

Even after her passing, Ruth continued to give. Through her decision to be an organ and tissue donor, she was able to donate tissue and her corneas, allowing someone the gift of sight. That is who she was. A giver, through and through.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Watts; her daughters, Jessica Minor and Desiree’ Meyer; and her sister, Rosemarie Meyer.

She is survived by her loving parents, Robert and Carolyn Meyer; her daughter, Alyssa Meyer; her son, Kyle (DJ) Roxberry; and her three cherished grandchildren, Odessa, Kingston, and Dawson. She is also survived by her sister, Tabitha Jude; her favorite brother-in-law, Eric Jude; her nieces, Alexis Hovey and Madison Jude; and her nephews, Jacob Hovey, John Jude, and Colton Jude.

A service to celebrate Ruth’s life will be held on March 8th at 2:00 p.m. at 5267 Country Field Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33905. Guests are encouraged to wear pink in honor of Ruth.

Her absence leaves a space that can never be filled, but her spirit lives on in all of us in our love, our laughter, and the way we care for each other.

Ruth was deeply loved. She will be missed, and she will never be forgotten.
