Stephen Anthony Buonomo

Stephen Anthony Buonomo, 73 of Fort Myers, FL passed into eternal rest on August 24, 2026.

Steve was born on September 10, 1952, and raised in Maywood, NJ, the son of Janet and Raymond Buonomo. He was married to his wife Deborah for 51 years, resided in Hillsdale,

NJ, where their son Mark was born, before relocating to Fort Myers in 1988. Steve was a proud member of the NJ National Guard and served for 6 years.

Steve enjoyed many things, particularly music, and playing his guitar. He was an avid reader and in his younger years enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his friends, of which he had many. He was a kind and gentle soul, a devout Catholic, and parishioner of St John XXIII Catholic Church.

He loved his family and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He had a heart of gold and was loved by many. Steve was always ready to lend a hand, and being mechanically inclined, could fix anything. He generously gave his time as a volunteer at his church and at local food banks.

He leaves behind his wife Deborah Buonomo. son Mark Buonomo, his wife Ashley,

and beloved grandchildren: Kolbe, Elizabeth, Thomas, Fulton, Genevieve (✝️), Rose, Isaac and Caeli. brother Raymond Buonomo, (Ginny) sister Carol Roth, (Glen) brother Brian Buonomo, (Susan)

He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Janet Buonomo of Maywood, New Jersey.

Steve will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. A memorial service will be held at:

St. John XXIII Catholic Church
