Timothy Edward Brooks, 58, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 20, 2025, in Cape Coral, Florida. Born on May 19, 1967, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tim was the son of William E. (Bill) Brooks and Martha Weatherly Brooks. Raised in Stillwater, Oklahoma, he graduated from Stillwater High School in 1985, where he was recognized as an outstanding baseball player.He went on to play baseball at the University of Arkansas, Conners State college and for the Ragin Cajun's at University Southwest Louisiana . A lifelong enthusiast of sports, Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. He earned his Bachelors degree in 1992 from Oklahoma State University and went on to build a successful career as the business owner of Skinny Water Props in Fort Myers Beach. Tim was preceded in death by his father, Bill Brooks. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jeannie Morris Brooks, to whom he was married for 31 years, and their three sons, Brantley, William, and Brett Brooks. He is also survived by his mother, Martha Brooks Reyburn of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, his brother Mike Brooks, and his sister Mindy Brooks. Known affectionately in Cape Coral as "Coach Tim" Tim dedicated countless hours to coaching youth baseball, teaching important lessons of teamwork, character, and perseverance. He was known for his kind heart, infectious smile, and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Tim's love, spirit, and legacy will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know him. Celebration of life will be held at the Brooks Residence in North Fort Myers Nov 2, 12pm-5pm following the Tim Brooks memorial golf tournament at El Rio golf club at 8am.
