Vincent S. Schachner
May 26, 1941 — July 3, 2017
Vincent Schachner, 76, passed away suddenly July 3. He is survived by his wife Rose; sons Kurt (Casey), Stephen (Whitney) and Tony (Robin); grandson Chase; and sister Alison (Lee). He was predeceased by his twin sister Sally. Vince was a retired police officer from Prince George's County, MD. He volunteered for 30 years with Crime Solvers (MD) and Crime Stoppers (FL). He was an active member of Retired Law Enforcement Officers where he enjoyed helping veterans play bingo at the Veterans Home and fund raising for vests for K-9 officers of law enforcement.
There will be a memorial service for Vince July 22 at 11:00 am at Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 66, 2330 Harper Avenue, Port Charlotte.
