Walter Sylvester Rice Jr.

Walter S. Rice Jr., 62, died of cardiac arrest January 9,2020 at Gulf Coast Hospital. He was born July 19,1957 in Maysville Kentucky, the son of Walter S. Rice Sr. and Mary Lee Donaldson. He celebrated 11 years of marriage with Melissa Rice. Walter was an environmental services technician at Lee Memorial Hospital for 6 years. Walter loved making people laugh, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by sister Phillis (Phil) Delaney and brother Walter Lane. Surviving in addition to wife Melissa Rice,  are his sister LaCinda Rice, daughter Vanity Rice, son Walter Rice III, daughter Sade Noack, son Dylan Jones, daughter Melissa Willis, granddaughter Jasmin Knight, granddaughter Nakia Knight, great grandson Andrew Reynolds, and great granddaughter Zaria Wilson. A viewing will be held Saturday January 18th,2020 from 2:00pm - 5:00pm at Gallaher's Funeral & Cremation 2701 Cleveland Ave. Fort Myers, FL 33901. Immediately following the viewing will be a celebration of life at Araba Shrine Temple 2010 Hanson St. Fort Myers, FL 33901 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm.
