A vibrant and charismatic young man was taken too soon on Monday, December 4, 2023. in Lehigh Acres, FL Wesley Richard Viola, aged 28, was born to Gilbert Richard and Carla Michele (Baker) Viola on September 7, 1995 in Ft. Myers, FL.

After 4 years of playing basketball, football, throwing shot put and discus for track, and in the IB program, Wesley graduated with honors from Riverdale High School in 2014, Ft. Myers, FL. He attended the University of South Florida for 3 years studying Business Admin., and held offices in Freshman Success and a student government position.

Wesley dabbled in music videos, promoting body builders and health products, worked in new construction, sold security systems in Texas, was an insurance agent, worked as a bouncer, served as a waiter in various restaurants, DeeJayed in Tampa, performed in a roller-skating group for Christ, was in payroll management for Sephora in Maryland, and an event promoter - a true entrepreneur. Fun loving Wes broke out in break-dancing at the snap of a finger, always entertaining others with a big smile.

Left to mourn are Wes’ parents Carla and David Hornsby and Gilbert and Jamie Viola, his brother Nicolas and wife Gabriella Viola, grandparents Larry and Chiquita Baker and Dave and Corrine Riffle. Also left behind to grieve are his aunt Christine Holley, uncle Nathan and wife Denise Baker, and cousins Mathew, Ashley, Lucas and Isabella Nelson, Logan and Deanna Nelson, Cloe Holley and new baby Gwendolyn, and Lila and Cyrus Baker.

A viewing will be shared at the Gallaher American Family Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 11:00 AM with funeral services following at 1:00 PM. Wesley will be cremated with his ashes lovingly given to his family.
