William Robert Bates, 92, of Fort Myers Beach, Florida passed away on July 6, 2017. He was born in Dexter, Michigan on May 10, 1925. William is the son of Ruby and Carl Bates. He served his community working as a commercial airline pilot. Bates gained much of his experience as a pilot prior to his employment while he was serving his country as part of the United States Air Force. He will always be remembered as a brave veteran. Gallaher American Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with his arrangements. We send our deepest condolences to his family during this difficult time.
