William Dennis "Bill" Curtin

November 27, 1938 - August 30, 2026

William D. "Bill" Curtin of Fort Myers, Florida, has passed away. Born in Lowell, MA just after Thanksgiving of 1938 to William "Skud" Curtin and Lucille (Trombly) Curtin, Bill grew up and was a proud son of Naugatuck, CT. Bill was the oldest of five children and loved reminding everyone of it. 

A talented swimmer, Bill spent four years on the swim team at the University of Connecticut (Go Huskies!) and was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. After college, he commissioned into the United States Navy and retired as LT Cmander after four years. After his service, Bill worked for many years in regulatory affairs for the medical technology industry. 

Bill is preceded in death by his loving parents, Skud and Lucille, and brother Tom (Mary). He is survived by his wife, O. Michelle, brother Dennis (Judith) Curtin, sisters Mary Jane (Todd) May and Kathleen (late Tom) Anderson. He is also survived by his daughters Sarah Morse and Martha Curtin, grandchildren Johanna, Kathleen, and Lauren Morse and Aiden and Fiona Barrett. He is additionally survived by Michelle's children Michelle Stewart and Josh Motta, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Bill will be remembered by his family and friends for his skills on the golf course and as a raconteur, a trait he inherited from his own father. His family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to the nursing staff at Shell Point Retirement Community, especially Rita Maraj, who provided care and comfort to Bill and his children even on their toughest days. 

Finally, Bill was a gifted pianist and loved to share his passion for music with all those who would listen. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in Bill's name to Friends of South Florida Music, who proved music and arts education to underserved communities in Bill's adoptive home of South Florida.
