Cleveland "Cleve" Campbell died on 6-27-21 he was 97.
Born in Newport, Arkansas on November 29th, 1923, Cleve attended Iowa State University of Science and Technology. He graduated in engineering and was honored in scholastic achievement by Tau Beta Pi, the International Engineering Honor Society.
Cleve served three years in the Army Air Corp (now the Air Force) during World War II. He was a fighter pilot, flying P-40s and P-47s.
For 31 years he worked in sales management for ARMCO Steel Corporation, retiring at age 56. During his tenure at ARMCO he became a Board Certified Professional Engineer. He also was active in Toastmasters International, serving two years as International Director.
Moving with his wife to Naples, Florida in 1979, Cleve immediately went into real estate and established Allied Brokers of Collier. His specialty was marketing luxury condominiums, especially those on the Gulf, and in raw land development.
Cleve often said, “ I’m lucky. Life has been good to me. I tried to improve myself when I could. I rolled with the punches when I couldn’t. The Good Lord was with me all the way”.
His loving family includes two children, Kathryn Campbell and John Campbell, a daughter-in- law, Rita Campbell, two grandchildren, Ashley Helms and Jason Campbell and five great grandchildren. All survive him.
At his request, interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
