Unfortunately Iwas the only one who got to witness his hole in one on the 5th hole right behind his condo at Burntstore he hit a driver on the really long par 3. I lined him up he waved an said hi Tula to his did like he always did and swung away. The white ball went up into a big white cloud an I lost it but I was sure it went straight. I hit mine and hit what I thought was a great shot about 10 feet away we get on the green and only my ball is there so I went looking all around the green finding nothing Nick says I’ll just drop in here and putts and missed then got it on his second I watched from down by the water I went up and he went to the hole to get his ball and looked down and said “did you putt already”? I said “no” he said “I think there’s 2 balls in the cup.” “I yelled don’t touch them” I went to the hole picked up the balls and there was his first one I knew it was because I picked his ball out for him because her couldn’t tell what kind of shape they were in it was one of the new ones we had jut put in his basket that morning for him to use the other one was on of his older ones he had in his pocket that I would not hav used. I said “ you just got HOLE IN ONE YOU OLD F***KER. (Pardon my French Gail) He say “no couldn’t have” “well you did “ “I’ve been trying for one for 55 years and you get one after less than two years. Then he said something that made my day and I’ll always treasure. He said “well you gave the right club lined me and told me how hard to swing you even showed me how to Swing it right so it is a lot yours. I said “ no way I’m not helping pay for a round a the 19th hole when I can’t even partake He laughed and laughed at that one. I made. Sure he got his trophy and write up from the club. My Brother, my Friend my Sponsor. I miss ya and love Buddy
