Director of Business Development/ Managing Funeral Director
Todd has worked in the funeral home industry since the age of 16. Working after school for the prominent funeral home in his hometown of Jamestown, NY; Todd learned from the best at an early age. Inspired by his local funeral directors, Todd has devoted his career to caring for families who have been touched by death. He offers friendship and professional expertise to families at life's most difficult moment. After graduating from Simmons Institute of Funeral Service in Syracuse, NY, Todd went on to make a name for himself in Florida and has held nearly every position in the funeral home and cemetery industry. In 2012, recognizing a need for a family-owned funeral home in Southwest Florida, Todd co-founded Garfield Funeral Care along with his father, Quincy Garfield.
After the acquisition of their family business in July of 2016, Todd accepted a position with Gallaher American Family Funeral Home as Director of Business Development and Managing Funeral Director.
Todd has been a guest speaker at local nursing homes, churches and fraternal organizations - lecturing on topics such as advance funeral planning; multi-cultural funeral and cremation customs; as well as coping techniques for survivors.
